Ulavacharu Sweets and Snacks in Sunnyvale offers a wide variety of Indian sweets, snacks, cakes, pastries, chaats, and sandwiches. Opened in March of 2023, and one of 4 Ulavacharu chain of restaurants in the Bay Area, the space is clean ,bright and airy with a modern vibe.
They have all the classic Indian sweets you could want, like jalebi, gulab jamun, and rasmalai along with eye-catching pastries. The savory selection is equally impressive, with chaats that are sure to tantalize your taste buds.
Service was quick and I especially liked the use of compostable cutlery and plates and bowls.

Here’s what we tried:
👉Iranian chai - a weekend special, sweet and delicious.
👉Ulavacharu Special dahi papdi chaat - what was unique about it was they used “ulavacharu” sauce instead of the usual tamarind chutney. We really loved this dish.
👉Vada Pav - Tasted fresh, but not the best I have eaten.
👉Bombay sandwich - loved it with the use of fresh veggies and cheese.
👉Chole Bature - Chole was one of the best I have eaten in a while.
👉Chum-chum sweet - had a hard time selecting one in the myrid of sweet options, and chum-cum was very juicy and did not disappoint.
👉Rasmalai cake - soft and yummy!
In summary, my family and I enjoyed our visit, and would go again to try other items on their menu.
Do check it out when you are in the area. It is located where “Vishnuji Ki Rasoi” previously was.
